Fall is Coming...and Winter is Soon to Follow

Falltime It's time to get to work on harvesting some of the last fruits and vegetables of the year. The local Farmers Market will be holding its Fall Fest on Saturday at the Hayden location.

This is the time of year for football (go Vandals!), and the time to start preparing for winter. According to Farmers Almanac the 2011-12 winter is expected to bring average temperatures to the northwest, with our area being said to have average precipitation as well. Our area is looking much the same according to AccuWeather as well. You can take a look at the Farmers Almanac extended forecast here.

Average temperatures and snowfall for winter means bitterly cold weather in December and January with almost 70 inches over the course of the winter, so it's not a time to scrimp on the snow shovels and layered clothing!
