Idaho Has Fifth Lowest Unemployment Rate in the Nation

IdahoIn these straining financial times, finding a new job for many can be a nightmare. Most people flock to the larger cities like New York or L.A. to find work but according to a recent study from U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, it's the smaller cities of the inland northwest that are the best places to find jobs.

According to the study, Idahos' unemployment rate is tied for fifth lowest at 3.6% along with Utah and Nebraska. The lowest average unemployment rate goes to Wyoming at 3%. The information for the individual metropolitan areas inside each state shows that Idaho Falls, Idaho has the third lowest unemployment rate in the nation at 2.4%. Coeur d'Alene's unemployment rate of 3.8% is still excellent considering that some areas like El Centro, California are up to 26.2%.

While unemployment rates are not the only important factor to consider, it can be a good indicator of what areas of the nation are growing or struggling. According to this latest study, Idaho is flourishing, even in the face of an economic downturn.
