Idaho's Nathan Enderle on Watch List for Golden Arm Award

Nathan Enderle, University of Idaho quarterback, is on the Watch List for the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award. The award was established in 1987 and is given each year to the Senior quarterback who has shown outstanding leadership on and off the playing field. It recognizes his character, citizenship, scholastic achievement, and leadership qualities. The Golden Arm Award is given to athletes with great football performance, personal integrity, and who bring honor to the game.

Enderle's time with the Idaho Vandals has been marked by two losing seasons in which head coach Robb Akey rebuilt the football team from scratch after it fell into disrepair under previous coaches. During his Junior year, Enderle led the Vandals in their first winning season since 1998. Their winning 2009 season brought the team to the Humanitarian Bowl which they won 43-42.

During Enderle's time with the Idaho Vandals they have gone from being the lowest rated football team in the Western Athletic Conference to fourth. Enderle's stats going into his senior year include:

• Fifth on all-time passes attempted list (949)
• Sixth on all-time passes completed list (508)
• Sixth on all-time career passing yardage list (6,770)
• Ninth on all-time completion percentage list (53.6)
• 10th on all-time pass efficiency list (122.37)
• Third-best single season average per game (264.2)
• Sixth-best single-season pass efficiency rating (157.28)
• Ninth-best single-season completion percentage (61.5, 2009)
• Tied for sixth longest play
