Vandal Football Season Launches Tomorrow

Tomorrow (9/2/10) is the kickoff to the University of Idaho's football season. Following a long period of poor performance and mismanagement, the Vandal football team, came together as a great team under Robb Akey's coaching. "Akey's Army," roared with a vengeance during the 2009 season, ending their season with seven wins and five losses before defeating Bowling Green State University in the Humanitarian Bowl.

Coming off the Bowl win, the Vandals have high expectations heading into this season with a much more seasoned Senior Quarterback, Nate Enderle who is on the watch list for this year's Golden Arm Award, and well-practiced offensive and defensive lines.

I've heard one thing consistently both from the school and from fans who have gone to see the pre-season skirmishes and practices: "You're gonna love it!"

This Thursday's game starts at 6:00pm at the Kibbie Dome as the Vandals play North Dakota. Tickets are still available through the UI Ticket Office (208.885.6466). The game will be televised on Altitude which is Dish Network Channel 410 or DirecTV - Channel 681. Time Warner subscribers, you're out of luck for TV coverage. Talk to your provider.
