Drive Thru Hut: Caffe Baci

Caffe Baci is a tasty little espresso hut located at 5767 N. Atlas Road. It is owned and operated by Shawn and Nesza Riley. My wife and I frequent this coffee hut for several reasons:

1. It is convenient to our home since it's only about a third of a mile away.
2. Nesza and her daughter make excellent drinks!
3. Wonderful service

Caffe Baci uses Thomas Hammer coffee in all of their drinks. The one thing I truly enjoy about my 20 oz. triple shot caramel lattes here is the fact that I can taste the espresso. There are several places in town where the drinks are overpowered by the flavor. A good latte is one that allows you to taste the coffee first and then gives you the flavoring of choice in a secondary fashion. Nesza always tamps her portafilters properly and times her shots. This, along with well roasted beans, creates excellent shots of espresso which in turn, creates a wonderful beverage!

Excellent drinks and fantastic service awaits you when you pull in the driveway at Caffe Baci. If you're there early in the morning, make sure you get one of their muffins or breakfast bars (the huckleberry ones rule!) too. The baked goods are made locally at a bakery in Rathdrum.
