Jamms Frozen Yogurt
Jamms Frozen Yogurt "Where you rule."
I'd never noticed Jamms, even though I'm a frequent visitor to Costco, and it's very nearby. But a few weeks ago I was visiting a friend and he suddenly decided he was in the mood for frozen yogurt and we just had to go to Jamms.
I have to say, Jamms is the most unique place I've been for frozen yogurt. It's entirely self-serve.
This ice cream shop has an interesting setup. When you enter you proceed directly past the (often crowded) entrance to the back of the store where you select a size of bowl and dispense the flavor of low-fat frozen yogurt you want from 10 choices. On my first visit I chose snicker doodle and New York cheesecake. You then proceed to the toppings (more than 55 choices). I went with crushed Butterfingers. They have a variety of syrups, fresh fruit, candied fruit, candy, nuts, sprinkles...just about any topping you can think of. After you've loaded up your frozen yogurt with all the toppings you want, take it to the register and place it on a scale to be weighed.
Jamms charges 40 cents per ounce, which for my small bowl, filled about half-way up with frozen yogurt and a few sprinkles of Butterfingers came out to $2.80. That's a very reasonable price! It's downright cheap compared to a lot of frozen yogurt joints.
Since I went here for the first time, I've heard other people complaining about the prices--claiming prices of over $20 per bowl! Now forgive me if my math's wrong (it's not), but that's 50 ounces of frozen yogurt! Getting more than three pounds of frozen yogurt for $20 sounds pretty darn good to me.
I do think it's easy to go overboard with your portions, which could lead to sticker shock when you get to the scale, but so long as you're reasonable with your portions and keep in mind that a serving size is 4oz (about 1/2 cup) you should be fine. For reference, one of Jamms small bowls can hold about 3 cups of yogurt.
Jamms offers punch cards, so for every ten bowls of frozen yogurt you buy, you get one free (as long as you keep it under 12 oz).
If you're stumped as to what flavors you want to try or combine, be sure to check out their recipe wall where customers can post up the recipes for their favorite combinations. If you're still not sure what you want, sample cups are provided if you want to try a flavor before adding it to your bowl.
So if you like frozen yogurt, I highly recommend trying Jamms. It has great prices, friendly staff, and a yummy product!
Jamms is located at 3500 N. Government Way at the corner of Neider and Government Way near the Costco gas station.

Jamms is good. Top This is better. Unfortunately, Jamms has done a much better job at drawing publicity, and very few people know about Top This.
They are the same "self-serve" style of frozen yogurt shop, they serve the same brand of frozen yogurt. Jamms has a better location, but Top This has a better restaurant layout, and they have much better toppings.
My two-cents.
Been to both
Jamms has much better yogurt, toppings, and atmosphere!
I definitely hadn't heard
I definitely hadn't heard about Top This until now, but then I didn't hear about Jamms until a few weeks ago. That's why this is a community site that anyone can add to, because no small group of people can know everything about Coeur d'Alene, as much as we may try. ;) Anyone with an account at LoveCdA can create a review.

I ate at Top This recently and really enjoyed it. I tried the Post Falls location and they didn't seem to have as many flavors of yogurt as you're saying Jamms has. Great taste though.
