Moon Time
When you first step up to the front door of Moon Time you're not sure if anyone under 21 is allowed inside. It screams bar. When you enter the place, it still looks like a bar. In, fact there is a bar along one side and they sell a wide array of alcoholic beverages. All this said, Moon Time is not just a bar. It's an amazing gem of a restaurant that's well hidden. Just think of the whole bar thing as sort of a mask that keeps out tourists.
It's the food that really matters here and it didn't disappoint. I started out with the onion garlic bread appetizer topped with Gorgonzola cheese. It wasn't anything fancy but it melted in my mouth. That, by itself, was enough of a meal for one person but I couldn't stop there. I continued the culinary adventure with the moon burger. This thing is awesome! The beef patty was probably 3" thick, cooked completely, and very juicy. There wasn't anything special or frilly about the meal, it just rocked. The whole meal was about ten bucks. Well worth it.
Moon Time may be in an old, weathered building, but it has a heart of gold . . .er . . . beef. You're not a real local until you've eaten here.

Moon Time and Family...
I wasn't sure if you guys knew this so here is a heads up:
The people that own Moon Time also own The Porch in Hayden (On Miles, by the Hayden Country Club Golf Course) and 2 other restaurants in Spokane. They all have a few staples on the menu like the Moon Burger and the Gumbo, but have a lot of other sandwiches as well. The Porch has one of the best Reuben's I've ever had.
I didn't know that they had
I didn't know that they had other restaurants. I'll have to try The Porch--seriously can't resist a good reuben!
I had to add something
I just ate here again and had the Mediterranean Lamb burger. So far this is my favorite thing I've eaten at Moon Time. It was amazing. This was the first time I've tried lamb so I wasn't sure what to expect but now that I've tried it, I'll definitely be eating it more often. Guys and Gals, if you go to Moon Time, eat the Mediterranean lamb burger.
Pure deliciousness...
I honest to God, have never had a bad meal at Moon Time. The entire menu is great, my particular favorite is the Mediterranean Lamb Burger with the signature roasted corn pasta on the side. Also at the top of my list is the 74th ST Gumbo, or the chicken ceasar soft taco. All EXCELLENT options that never fail to please.
Moontime
Moon Time wasn't the type of place I would just stop by and have lunch at. From the outside it has every appearance of being a small-town bar. But inside is a comfortably sized seating area that says "cozy cafe." The Moon Time burger was one of the most perfectly-cooked hamburgers I've ever enjoyed. It was a thick patty of beef thoroughly cooked, but still very juicy. The burger was served on a nicely toasted bun with caramelized onions on top and sauces, lettuce, and tomato to the side. The quality of the food really was impressive. Even the tomatoes, something so many restaurants are careless about, were thick sliced and perfectly ripe.
If you have the chance, definitely try Moon Time.
Yum...
After that review, I have now placed Moon Time on my list of "Where to Go for Lunch at the Next Opportunity." I have driven past it before and did exactly what you said, "Hmm...it's a bar." But, now that I know better I'm going in for the Moon Burger! :)

Moon Time is Now a Definite Favorite for Me
I had lunch at Moon Time today. WOW. I had the Santa Fe Chicken Sandwich. It was mighty tasty. I will definitely be going back several more times. I still have to try the Moon Burger, the Mediterranean Lamb Burger, etc., etc.
What a great place!
