The Rendzevous

Formerly The Torch Lounge, The Rendezvous is a gentlemans club in downtown Coeur d'Alene.

This club is for ages 21 and older and features one of the largest selections of alcohol in Coeur d'Alene. The bar staff is top-notch, although the wait staff and bikini dancers can be less-so with a high turnover rate and periodic lack of professionalism.

Come armed with money, because this place takes a lot of it. There is a five dollar cover for entrance to the club--for everone, including women. Drink prices are comparable to the rest of the bars in downtown Coeur d'Alene, and they have nightly drink specials. Wednesday night is the Rendzevous keg night, offering $10 all-you-can-drink domestics or $15 for specialty/imports. This is on top of cover charge and the special ends at midnight. So if you think you can drink more than $15-$20 of beer before midnight, you should definitely consider getting a wristband for it.

At one time, this bar made it into the top five bars in Idaho for alcohol purchases. That may not be the case anymore. Last time I was in Rendzevous was a Saturday night at about 10:00pm, and a generous estimate would be a dozen patrons inside. I saw a number of large groups make it to the entrance, learn that there was a $5 cover for everyone, and choose to go to another bar. It's definitely not as popular as it used to be.

Features include pool tables, a small public dance floor, DJ music, and bikini dancers.

Smoking is allowed at Rendezvous--much to the delight of smokers, and the chagrin of some non-smokers. It is one of two Coeur d'Alene bars I'm aware of that still allow smoking inside their establishment.

Keep in mind, Coeur d'Alene police are out in force in the evenings, especially during the summer. Remember to drink in moderation and never drink and drive.
